Who? Who? About Owl Optical, home of the best glasses in Minneapolis!
Julie and Chris Hanson met in 1998 at a local eyeglasses shop. Chris sauntered in and (smart guy!) waited around for the lovely woman behind the counter to help him. Julie’s big first line? “I like your boots!” (they were super cool boots). Julie still recalls Chris’ frames of choice: Classic, black plastic-framed Lafonts that remain a popular pick. Married in 1999, the couple have two boys and a rowdy duo of Siberian huskies. Their goal: Search the most exciting eyewear designs from around the world and bring the most special spectacles to Minneapolis.

“We both grew up in smaller towns, and one of the things we’re most excited about is bringing customer service back — the kind where shop-keepers are a part of the community, and you know where to find them when you really need something," Chris said, "We live ten minutes from our shop, and if you need something special or are having a glasses emergency, we can get there in a hurry. If you’re busy or work during shop hours and or need a special appointment time, we’ll figure something out. It’s our goal to make every person that walks through the door feel like a guest.”

Full services and eye exams are available, along with all the bells and whistles modern technology offers — glare-free, transitions, specialty lenses, and everything in between. Owl has been honored with “Best Optical Shop” in Minneapolis/St. Paul Magazine.
